As reported in the August Real Estate Institute Journal we thought you might find it interesting that the NSW government enjoys stamp duty revenue of almost $6 billion from the Real Estate sector. This includes a $1 billion windfall over and above the forecast for the 2013/14 budget. REINSW President Malcolm Gunning applauded steps taken by the Australian Capital Territory in early June to reduce stamp duty and introduce incentives for over 60’s. It is up to all of us to voice an opinion and lobby our government for reductions to our stamp duty here in NSW, particularly when our Premier is just that…OURS.
