About Yorick Sweetnam
Yorick Sweetnam, Principal and Licensee, has been part of the local real estate landscape for more than three decades, beginning his career in 1988 with L.J. Hooker in Neutral Bay. Real estate has always been close to home. Soon after starting out, he joined his father to help build the family business that would become Sweetnams. Taking the reins in 2005, Yorick has continued to grow the business with care, integrity, and a strong sense of community.
Over the years, Yorick has thoughtfully expanded the company, bringing together respected local agencies including the Mark Hansen First National office, Mackellar Real Estate in Manly,North Harbour Real Estate (Sandra Good) and, in 2020, RK Real Estate (Robin Kennedy). These milestones reflect not just growth, but a commitment to preserving local knowledge and relationships which is something Yorick values deeply.
Known for his down-to-earth nature and honest approach, Yorick has built a reputation as a skilled negotiator who genuinely enjoys working with people. He believes that real estate is as much about trust and understanding as it is about results.
Yorick is especially passionate about the team around him. “One of my greatest challenges,” he says, “is finding the right people who truly reflect the values and culture we’ve built over the years. When you have the right team, you give your clients the best possible chance of achieving their goals.”
Away from the office, Yorick is a dedicated family man who lives locally with his wife Rachel and their two daughters, Amy and Gemma. His strong connection to the community continues to shape the way he does business—personally, professionally, and with genuine care.
When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time on his farm, where he takes great pride in raising his steers. A passion that offers a welcome balance to his busy professional life and reflects his strong connection to the land.
